Seven and a Match tells the story of a group twenty-something friends who reunite for the first time since college only to rediscover the tangle of their complicated relationships. Facing the loss of a summer home she inherited from her deceased parents, Ellie invites five of her college friends, who lived at the house during the summer three years ago, for one final visit. As the friends reunite, old tensions and new complications arise between them. Peter, a gay struggling writer, finds himself once again falling under the spell of Sid, a charismatic would-be actor who lives off his father’s allowance in New York. Sid revisits his complex history with the conservative Blair, much to the surprise of her unsuspecting new boyfriend, Matthew. Meanwhile, Whit, a sarcastic society fashion columnist and self-proclaimed ‘slut’, struggles to reveal a new identity to her friends. Tim, Ellie’s devoted, introspective friend who has been living at the house as a caretaker, must finally express his true feelings for Ellie when she announces her startling plan to avoid bankruptcy, using them as an alibi.
