Set in Rome, around crumbling suburban bridges, the film tells the story of Alessandro, who has a father unable to communicate, and Debora, a fifteen years old girl torn between dreams of becoming a television model and bitter thoughts about her mother’s work. The film is a portrait of the crisis of male and female roles, an exploration of sexual misery as a consequence of existential closedown. A waking nightmare about the day to day nature of living, appealing to the responsibility of the individual in relation to others.
Biografia Autore
Born in Rome in 1955, he graduated in literature with a thesis on Moral Philosophy. This film marks his debut in cinema.
Till today, his main interest has been the theater where he worked as a dramatist and director. His texts won him many awards and have been brought to the stage by important Italian directors. In 1995 he received the Giuseppe Fava Prize for Sopra e sotto il Ponte, presented two years later at the Festival of Contemporary Drama of Trieste by the director Maurizio Panici. The text is presented in 2000 by director Massimo Belli. Now he is working as editor of a series of theatrical texts, Boccascena, for the publishing house Edizioni Interculturali.
