Belgrade, capital of a country whose turbulent past left many in a moral and existential desert, is the home of Mladen, Marija and their son Nemanja. When Nemanja develops a serious heart condition, the only cure is an operation abroad for 26,000 €. Just when they abandon hope of raising the money, a man contacts Mladen offering him the amount. Srdan Golubovic was born in 1972 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia. During his studies at the University of Drama he directed several award-winning shorts (e.g. “Threesome”) and a story (“The Package”) that became a cult movie for the young generation. He established the production company Baš Celik with a team of young film artists, producing music videos as well as acclaimed commercials and marketing campaigns. His first feature film “Apsolutnih sto” (“Absolute Hundred”) participated in over 30 international film festivals and won numerous awards. The Trap is his second feature film.
