MIFF | 8° Film Festival Internazionale di Milano - Strangers / Erez Tadmor, Guy Nattiv / Liron Levo, Lubna Azabal, Dominique Lollia, Patrick Albenque, Abdallah El Akal Strangers Liron Levo, Lubna Azabal, Dominique Lollia, Patrick Albenque, Abdallah El Akal
Eyal, an Israeli guy and Rana, a Palestinian living in Paris, meet in Berlin during the world cup finals in 2006. They fall in love, but as Rana jets inexplicably back to Paris, the second Israeli Lebanon war breaks out. Eyal decides to search for Rana. They are able to transcend the Israeli Palestinian conflicts, relating as individuals. Their linked history and homeland, generates an intimacy between them. Strangers reflects the freshness of a younger generation seeking to reconnect with and humanize the "enemy".
Erez Tadmor and Guy Nattiv are two young writer-directors from Israel, graduated at the "Camera Obscure Film School of Tel –Aviv". "Strangers", their 7 minutes short-drama won at the Sundance Film Festival 2004. They recently wrote “Son of God“, story of an holocaust survivor on his "roots journey" to Poland with his son. Their two short movies Moosh and Mabul won over 40 international film festivals awards including the “Crystal Bear” award in Berlin.
