Based on Nelly Arcan’s novel “Whore”, the film is a poetic-pornographic vision of Hell. A woman speaks: her words, beyond the harsh reality of the evoked images, allude to a surreal universe.
Canadian born Isabelle McEwen lives in Germany where she works as a contemporary opera/theater director and as a visual artist. In the last few years, while working at multimedia performance projects, she started doing experiments with film. She is now writing her doctoral thesis at the University of Hamburg.
