Aleksandra Poplawska, Andrzej Mastalerz, Cezary Kosinski, Janusz Chablor, Krzysztof Czeczot

The day rises in a huge, unspecified metropolis. A cell phone rings in a big, manager’s cabinet, on a high floor of an international corporation’s building. A businessman looks at the cell’s screen for a while, then he finally answers. It is a sloppy, fat guy calling, from a shaky van. He asks for the decision regarding flowing a certain person. After hesitating a while, the businessman confirms the job. He does not suspect, that his “yes” sets in motion a stream of incidents, which would affect the fate of several citizens. “Zero” is a multi-plot story about love and hatred, about violence and sex and surprising secrets which we learn within these strange twenty-four hours. The machine that has been set in motion, changes characters’ lives irreversible. Is it irreversible indeed ?

The experiment consisted in leaving thousands of brochures on the car screens with an information about “true love via phone”. When someone dialed the number written on the leaflet, instead of call girls’ voices, he could hear a voice reading Saint Paul’s letter about love. In 2003 Pavel wrote, realized the pictures and directed “I love you” , a short film, while Zero his first feature film was shot in 2009. During these years, moreover, Pavel worked in advertising as a creative director and made over 30 tv commercials and promos.
