Franco Parente A Cuban American born and raised in Miami, Florida, Franco has spent the last ten years working as an assistant director on countless television commercials, music videos and narrative films, for the US, Hispanic and European markets. Franco wrote, produced and directed his first two short films IRISH LUCK and GAS for regional curated competitions in Florida. His third short film, CASPER & KITTY won the Grand Prize for the Florida Entertainment Incubator, followed by Best Florida Short Film Awards at the Ft. Lauderdale International Film Festival, and is now being developed into a web series. Furthermore, Franco has directed various television commercials and projects for clients like Burger King, Toyota and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. His music videos have garnered strong rotation on MTV en Espaņol and has created a great stir in the press and the audience in general. In 2009 Franco was a part of the 2009 Sundance Film Directors Lab in Utah and completed SUNSHINE, a 35mm short film drama. Among his project in progress we can cite his first feature film project entitled CHARLIE STAY, and a Spanish language short.
