André Badalo was born in a small Portuguese fisherman’s village called Fuzeta, in 1981. He studied Cinema, specializing in Directing and Cinematography at the Lisbon Theatre and Film School and went on to complete his film studies at the University of Southern California, in Los Angeles. His first short film, "Historia de papel", was shown at several international film festivals. He is finishing is first feature film “The Italian Writer”, staring Lúcia Moniz (Love Actually) and Diogo Morgado (Mary Mother of Christ). André works also as a commercials director.
