Edgar, recently deceased and enjoying his afterlife, discovers that his nagging widow, Helen, has bought the plot next to his own. Now he must make sure that Helen stays alive until he can find a way to prevent her from joining him and ruining his afterlife. But while acting as her guardian angel, he falls back in love with her.
Yitz Brilliant received his M.F.A. from Columbia University Film Division in 2008, and is a recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Fellowship. His short film "The Kiddush Man" (2008) won the National Board of Review Award at the Columbia University Film Festival and has won numerous festival awards. Previously, Yitz was awarded Faculty Honors in the 2006 Columbia Screenplay Competition for his feature script, "The Pirates of Pinsk," a pirate comedy adventure. Since graduating, Yitz has been working as a freelance director and editor of documentaries and web commercials for such companies as Equal and Random House Books.
