Donal Logue / United Kingdom / 2004

THIS IS NOT THE SYNOPSIS FOR TENNIS ANYONE! This synopsis has NOTHING to do with the film!! where did you get this? When daughter's unhappy, Dad goes into a rampage to fix the problem, according to Mom. Like "stage mothers" who live their dreams through their children, this Dad, still smarting from not making the team in his youth, becomes a drill sergeant and uses computer aids to turn his teenage daughter, Priscilla, into a tennis champion. He basks in her glory and anticipated career until she quietly announces that she and a new boyfriend will major in finance in college and join his father's brokerage business. Disappointment is short-lived as he goes into another "rampage," already planning the rest of her life. Unlimited teens can be used for Priscilla's visiting friends. One interior set.

Biografia Autore
One of Hollywood's most prolific character actors of the last decade and a half, Donal Logue has now turned his attention to writing and directing as well. He worked with Kevin Spacey in "Darrow," and Robert Redford, Sidney Poitier, Ben Kingsley and River Phoenix in his feature film debut, "Sneakers." Logue has appeared in over fifty films in the last decade: as Bobby Campbell in "And the Band Played on," Dan Scott in "The Patriot," Steven Burnett in "A Bright Shining Lie," and Quinn in "Blade." Logue's finest performance is widely regarded as Dex in the film "The Tao of Steve," for which he won a Special Grand Jury Prize for outstanding performance at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival. "Tennis, Anyone...?" is Logue's directorial debut. He plans on directing a script he adapted from Walker Percy's novel "The Second Coming" as well as completing a novel he has worked on since high school entitled "Calexico."
