In this autobiographical tale, Gold retells the loss of his own mother Melissa Gold, the late companion of iconic music producer Bill Graham, who died with Graham in a freak helicopter crash on a rainy night returning from a show. Gold cleverly uses phone messages to portray his efforts to deal with her loss in the aftermath of a helicopter crash.
Biografia Autore
Gold was born and raised in San Francisco. Previous to the award-winning Helicopter, his one-minute film Culture was called «the best 60 seconds of film at Sundance» (Reel.com). Gold’s other shorts include Frog Crossing, which played at festivals worldwide. Gold currently has several feature-length screenplays in development.
