Juanita Wilson
Juanita Wilson was born and raised in Dublin. She studied Fine Arts at the National College of Art and Design and attended the Dublin Institute of Technology where she studied Design and Journalism. She began her career in cinema producing two Irish films, H3 (2001) and Inside I'm Dancing (2004). Juanita then started directing. Her short film The Door received an Irish Film and Television Award (IFTA) in 2009 and an Academy Award nomination in 2010. Her first feature film As If I'm Not There (a Macedonian/Swedish/Irish co-production), is based upon the homonym Slavenka Drakulic's book and was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival in October 2010.
