Synopsis
No one took grandpa seriously until he brought home a prostitute. "Friends and Strangers" is the story of a lonely, elderly widower who meets a young woman at a local bar ( a woman he may or may not know is a prostitute) and invites her to join him for a holiday dinner with his estranged family.

Biography
Edward Cabán was raised in the Castle Hill section of the Bronx. He is a graduate of the City College of New York where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film production. While at City College he was accepted into the Picker Film Institute where he was awarded two Sidney Meyers Film and Video awards in Cinematography and Audio Design. He was the recipient of the Paula Rhodes Memorial Award for Exceptional Achievement in Film in 2011. Edward recently completed work on a short narrative film entitled, “Friends and Strangers” where he worked as the film’s Writer, Director, and Producer. The film was an official selection at the 2011 Big Apple Film Festival held annually at Tribeca Cinemas in New York City.
