Synopsis
This is a true story. Harry Stanley eats his breakfast and chats with his wife, Irene. Irene is concerned that Harry shouldn't leave the house so soon after his operation. Harry insists he must go to his brother's house to repair the table leg he broke. He is delighted to finally be out and his brother is clearly delighted to see him, but hides concern for his brother with false cheer. They repair the table leg, Harry cuts himself badly, realizes how quickly his life is ebbing away as he sees the blood flow. Harry asks his brother to come and play pool, but his brother dismisses the idea, so Harry finds someone in a pub to play pool with. The people in the pub think the table leg is a gun, they call the police. The police come and, just as Harry resolves on a plan for the rest of his life, shoots him in the back.

Biografia
Jeremiah Quinn has been a screenwriter for ten years. His spec script, "The Clerk of Madras", was optioned in 2003. It was also selected for a BAFTA Rocliffe reading in 2008. Jeremiah has just been commissioned to write a treatment for “Poisson Rouge”, with Christopher Granier-Deferre attached to direct. "The Strange Death of Harry Stanley" is Jeremiah's first short film script.
