Jorge Macaya
Born in Pamplona in 1979, Jorge Macaya is a film editor. After graduating at the Escola Superior de Cinema y Audiovisuals de Catalunya, he began his career in cinema. Among his works as editor, there are two horror films, The Abandoned (2006, Spain-Bulgaria-UK) by Nacho Cerda and Blackout (2007, Usa) by Rigoberto Castañeda and a thriller, La Habitación De Fermat (2007, Spain) by Luis Piedrahita & Rodrigo Sopeña. In 2008 and 2009 Jorge is the editor of two Mexican production Amor, Dolor y Viceversa by Alfonso Pineda Ulloa and the science-fiction movie La Ultima Muerte by David Ruiz. The following films he edited are Ingrid (2009) by Eduard Cortes, Viento En Contra (2010), an action thriller by Walter Dohener and Musth (2010), not yet released. Actually he is editing Callejon by Antonio Trashorras and El Cartel De Los Sapos by Carlos Moreno, a feature film about the drug dealing in Colombia.
