Synopsis
This is the story of Chaz Bono's transition from a woman to a man, a journey of identity and self-discovery that has lasted most of his life. Growing up, Chastity was a shy person who never felt comfortable in the spotlight as the daughter of Sonny & Cher. She also felt uncomfortable as a man and struggled with living inside a body that she knew wasn't truly hers. Something was missing. Deciding there was no choice but to transition in public, he decided to make this film so others could learn from his experience.

Award-winning film director Fenton Bailey founded World of Wonder Productions in 1990. Since then, Bailey has created numerous documentary features and series that have captivated audiences both domestically and internationally, such as The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2000), Monica in Black and White (2002), Party Monster (2003) and Inside Deep Throat (2005). He recently won a 2010 Emmy for the production of the nature documentary The Last Beekeeper. World of Wonder also recently completed Wishful Drinking for HBO, based on Carrie Fisher’s memoir and debuted with Becoming Chaz at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival. For the last year, Bailey has been working on a documentary following the repeal of the controversial Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy.
