Biography
Lars Kornhoff was born on the 19th of June 1979 in Paderborn, Germany. During his elementary studies of economics in Frankfurt, he absolved his first film-related internship during the production of a Bavaria Tatort. Thereon followed a job as video operator for Ro- land Suso Richter’s TV production Die innere Stimme. Inspired by the close collaboration with the director and his subsequent engagement in the cutting room, Lars Kornhoff discovered his passion for filmmaking and directing in particular. In 2004, he directed his first short film, Silhouetten. In the course of the next years, several short films ensued, to which the passionate auteur always wrote the screenplay as well. In 2006, he enrolled as a film student with the main area of directing at Macromedia Hochschule für Medien und Kommunikation (MHMK) in Munich, from where he graduated in 2010 with the youth drama short Child‘s Play, produced by Black Rabbit Pictures, Nominal Film, the Bayerischer Rundfunk and MHMK. He is currently working on his debut film.
